We are tremendously proud of the work that our talented cast and crew put into the making of The Kennedys and the painstaking efforts that went into creating a compelling drama that is rich in historic detail.
All who worked on the production made every effort to faithfully and honestly tell the Kennedy family story. We meticulously researched all story points and made sure they were supported by multiple respected and objective sources. We are confident that we accurately and authentically recreated each of the events that occurred.
The decision of the History Channel not to broadcast the show was made long after the executives of the Channel as well as the Channel’s resident historian (who is a Kennedy expert) had read and approved all of the scripts and viewed and approved all of the final cuts of all of the episodes. Furthermore, our Errors and Omissions Insurer’s attorneys reviewed all the scripts and edited episodes – and they have cleared all of the episodes for broadcast.
While we regret that the History Channel has decided that The Kennedys miniseries does not fit their brand, we are confident that television viewers in Canada and around the world – including in the United States – will have the opportunity to watch this exceptional miniseries in the near future.
